How my lens learnt to swim

How my lens learnt to swim

While using my lighter Manfrotto tripod for the second time, I was loving it, I went to Tooronga Falls in Baw Baw, and got some great water moving shots.

I got some really great photos at the start. But as an accident prone person that I am, switching between my landscape lens and my everyday lens was something I was starting to do a lot of.

When I climb some rocks to get a great view, and say out loud to my friend, "this is going to end in disaster", I really should have listened to myself.

Because of course as I was putting on my landscape lens, my everyday one fell out of my pocket and rolled straight into the water. Can't say I didn't warn myself!! Sent the lens into Canon for evaluation, and there was no saving it. I was lucky enough to find one to repurchase as Canon no longer stock those lenses and I had spent months researching which one I wanted for travel to get the best out of my camera as I could.

I had only just replaced my camera a couple of months before this....but that is a story for another time.
