About

As a graphic designer with over 25 years’ experience, I have always used my skills to make art from my photography. Coffee table books and wall collages remind me of the places I have visited and the adventures I have enjoyed. As my career developed, I had fewer opportunities to travel and less time to work on purely graphic design.

When the Covid 19 pandemic upturned all our lives, my work pressure increased with the responsibilities of supporting the communications of a major hospital. At the same time, my ability to travel was almost completely curtailed. To manage the stress while living in the city with the most days in lockdown, I took every opportunity to get out of the house and into nature. Taking my camera with me, I captured the large and small natural beauties that brought me joy, then used my design skills to bring that happiness into my home.

Using the extra time that lockdowns gave me, I completed design projects from previous international trips and wallpapered my bedroom with images taken from nature, turning my home into a haven of happy memories. In doing so I realised that finding beauty in far-flung locales is not that different from finding it in the nature in Melbourne’s immediate surroundings.  I found the process that started with exploration and discovery through my camera lens, continued through composition and design, and ended with wall art to be incredibly creatively satisfying. It’s a journey that has only just begun. I’m delighted to share this new and exciting adventure with you.
